Crescent Bank Certificate of Deposit FAQ
A Certificate of Deposit is a type of savings account with a guaranteed rate for a specified term. When you open a CD, you commit to keeping the money in the account until it reaches its maturity date. Generally, the farther away the maturity date, the higher your interest rate. A CD can be an effective way to help your money grow at a great rate and is not affected by downturns in the economy.
You can apply online in under 10 minutes. Be sure to have your Social Security number, driver’s license or state ID and home address handy. If you plan to fund the CD with money from an account at another bank, you should have those routing and account numbers ready.
Once you apply for your CD and are approved, you will receive step-by-step instructions to deposit money in the account. You can supply funds by mailing a check, transferring from an account at Crescent Bank or transferring from an account at another financial institution.
You can only add funds to your CD at renewal.
There are no fees to open a CD. However, certain fees apply if term conditions are not met, such as if funds are withdrawn early. This is why it is important to choose a term that matches your cash flow needs.
At the end of your term, your CD will automatically renew unless you choose to close it out. To close it out, contact Customer Service at 877-831-3334.

"Always excellent customer service, friendly, never feel rushed and I love the personal touchI receive. I mostly see my banker, however if she’s not available I am always given a warm greeting by whoever is taking her place. Everyone goes out of their way to assist."
